What we help with
Most people arrive wanting one specific thing. Here are the five we see most, and exactly how each one works over video.
Ask a GP to review your existing chronic treatment.
Blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol and other ongoing medication may be suitable. The doctor reviews your treatment and recent readings, then decides whether a repeat is safe or whether something needs measuring first.
A medical certificate may be issued after assessment.
The doctor assesses whether illness makes you unfit for work and for how long. A certificate is issued only when clinically appropriate, with a diagnosis disclosed only with your consent.
Get an assessment and a clear next step.
Cold and flu symptoms, sore throats, mild stomach illness and similar concerns may suit video. The doctor takes a history, assesses what is safe remotely and prescribes only when needed.
We can send you for bloods.
The doctor issues a pathology request you take to any lab, then talks you through the results. Useful when something needs confirming rather than guessing.
A medical weight-loss conversation with a GP.
A proper clinical assessment of your health, your history and what is realistic, with ongoing review rather than a once-off script.
These five are the most common, not the whole list. If a GP would normally see it in a room, ask.
Anything needing hands-on examination, and any emergency, needs in-person care. For chest pain, trouble breathing, severe bleeding or signs of a stroke, call 10177 or go to your nearest emergency department.

Questions
After. You have your consult first, then receive a secure payment link. Available payment methods are shown on the payment page. Any clinically appropriate documents are released after payment has cleared.
During consulting hours, you can request the next available appointment. The clinician confirms the request before a video consultation begins. We do not promise a specific wait time until enough availability data supports it.
Every clinician must provide a current HPCSA registration number before they can consult through hiDoc. Clinician onboarding is managed directly by the company.
A clinician may issue an electronic prescription when clinically appropriate and legally permitted. Some medicines and any concern requiring a physical examination need in-person care. The clinician will explain the right next step.
Not yet. You pay us directly, and for now your invoice is a plain receipt. Coded invoices carrying a practice number and ICD-10 codes, which you could submit to your scheme, are something we are putting in place before launch rather than something we can offer you today.
If the doctor decides you need hands-on care, they will advise you during the consult. In an emergency, go directly to your nearest emergency department. If a video consult is clinically inappropriate from the start, you are not charged.
No. If you have chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, a suspected stroke, or you are seriously injured, call 10177 or go to your nearest emergency department immediately.
Request the next available appointment or choose a time in the consulting day. Nothing is charged before your consult.
