Already on chronic medication?

A clinician can consider a repeat prescription where that is clinically appropriate and legally permitted. The repeat-review option is priced separately from a full consultation.

Blister packs of prescription medication

No deposit, no card wall

See the doctor first. Pay after.

There is no deposit between you and a GP appointment. You consult first, then we send a secure payment link after the consultation. The available payment methods are shown clearly on that page.

Any clinically appropriate prescription, sick note or referral is released after payment clears. If a clinician decides telehealth is not appropriate before a consultation can take place, you will not be charged for a consultation that did not happen.

  1. Your consult happens

The clinician takes a history, assesses what can safely be assessed remotely, and agrees the next step with you.

  2. A secure payment link arrives

Your consultation fee is stated before you book. The payment page displays the methods currently available.

  3. Paperwork unlocks

Any clinically appropriate documents are released after payment clears and retained in your secure patient record.

Questions

The things people ask us first.

Do I pay before or after my consult?

After. You have your consult first, then receive a secure payment link. Available payment methods are shown on the payment page. Any clinically appropriate documents are released after payment has cleared.

How fast is an immediate consult, really?

During consulting hours, you can request the next available appointment. The clinician confirms the request before a video consultation begins. We do not promise a specific wait time until enough availability data supports it.

Are your doctors actually registered?

Every clinician must provide a current HPCSA registration number before they can consult through hiDoc. Clinician onboarding is managed directly by the company.

Can you prescribe medication?

A clinician may issue an electronic prescription when clinically appropriate and legally permitted. Some medicines and any concern requiring a physical examination need in-person care. The clinician will explain the right next step.

Do you take medical aid?

Not yet. You pay us directly, and for now your invoice is a plain receipt. Coded invoices carrying a practice number and ICD-10 codes, which you could submit to your scheme, are something we are putting in place before launch rather than something we can offer you today.

What if I need to be examined in person?

If the doctor decides you need hands-on care, they will advise you during the consult. In an emergency, go directly to your nearest emergency department. If a video consult is clinically inappropriate from the start, you are not charged.

Is this suitable for an emergency?

No. If you have chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, a suspected stroke, or you are seriously injured, call 10177 or go to your nearest emergency department immediately.
