hiDoc gives patients a direct way to book an HPCSA-registered GP by video, without downloading an app or paying before the consultation.
What the service does
Patients can request the next available weekday appointment or choose a scheduled time. The consultation takes place by secure browser-based video.
The doctor assesses what can safely be assessed remotely and explains the next step. Prescriptions, medical certificates and referrals are issued only when clinically appropriate.
Payment is requested after the consultation. If the doctor decides that the concern was unsuitable for telehealth from the outset, the consultation can be waived under the platform policy.
